A trip to better health

Health tourism is booming all over the world; thousands of people are choosing to travel abroad for health and dental treatment in a bid to save money and enjoy a relaxing holiday at the same time. Treatments are now widely available and accessible and most have sites where you can learn more about the procedure and ask any questions.

There are concerns about the safety of treatment like tattoo removal and laser hair removal abroad, so it is important that you choose somebody who is qualified and registered to carry out the treatment. Laser treatment is the safest form of treatment and contrary to rumours in the media, there is very little risk of infertility.

The range of treatments available abroad is similar to that available in the UK; however, there may be waiting lists in the UK and therefore some people may choose to seek treatment elsewhere. Fertility treatment, for example, is available on the NHS but only a limited number of cycles are available and there may be waiting lists. Treatment for infertility may be available quicker and for a lower cost than private treatment in the UK abroad.

Excess hair affects many people and it can be a source of embarrassment; people who have excess hair can shy away from social situations and it can inhibit the way they behave around other people. Going abroad for treatment is a something you can consider but you need to weigh up the pros and cons.
